Download the driver files from the instrument driver network; Go to Program FilesNational InstrumentsLabVIEWinstr.libOcean Optics 2000 4000VISAUSB; Select the folder for the model of instrument you are using. For Windows Vista and Windows 7, use the INF file with vista in the file name (eg.Ocean Optics USB4000vista.inf). I copied the project into instr.lib directory and installed driver using Ocean Optics USB4000vista.inf file as instructed in the installation instructions then I restart my PC and connect the spectrometer and windows was successfully able to install driver for my spectrometer and I was able to run the example VI as well.
