Legacy PROWIN32 and PROWIN64 download packages provide PROSet, driver, ANS, FCoE, and DCB support for Windows 7* and Windows Server 2008 R2*.

Download the ZIP package of the MediaTek Preloader USB VCOM drivers to your Windows PC. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and extract its contents using an archive utility like 7-Zip. Now double-click on the “MediaTekPreloaderUSBVCOMDrivers.exe” executable file.

Regular webpacks provide Intel® PROSet support for operating systems Windows 8.1*, Windows Server 2012*, Windows Server 2012 R2*, Windows® 10, Windows Server 2016*, or newer supported operating systems.

  • Unknown devices show up in the Windows Device Manager when Windows can’t identify a piece of hardware and provide a driver for it. An unknown device isn’t just unknown — it’s not functioning until you install the right driver. Windows can identify most devices and download drivers for them automatically.
  • The VID and PID supported by the driver must match the VID and PID of your device. If you are using the default driver from the USBXpress Development Kit, it supports VID 0x10C4 and PID 0xEA61. If your device does not have VID 0x10C4 and PID 0xEA61, you should generate a customized driver using Application Note AN220.

Note: New hardware support or new features will not be added to legacy download packages.

How to use this download

Download the self-extracting archive and run it. It will extract the files to a temporary directory, run the installation wizard, and remove the temporary files when the installation is complete. All language files are embedded in this archive. You do not need to download an extra language pack.
